Made from a mixture of beige and dark grey Coffee Cup waste

Made from hard white refrigerator door shelves to give a terrazzo or stone effect.

Yoghurt and Charcoal
Recycled plastic sheets

This range of sheet materials is made from high impact polystyrene and are more neutral in colour than the bottle sheets. They are also much harder, denser and more rigid and can also be fixed using adhesives. The sheets are available in 2 x 1 m size and 12 mm thick. We can also make 3 x 1.5m sheets but the transport costs are high. The 5mm and 3mm can also be vacuum formed. Typically used for worksurfaces, table tops and bathroom panelling.

We used to supply a mocha and white mottled sheet made from used coffee machine vending cups but we now get too much contamination mixed in with the waste. We have to have the material melt processed to remove this contamination before we can make sheets and this has limited the colours that we can offer. The new Charcoal is made out of these same old coffee cups and can be polished to look like granite. I’m afraid you will have to do the polishing yourself – we have no facilities for polishing at the moment.

Yoghurt sheet was originally made from waste from manufacturing actual yoghurt pots, but the supply of yoghurt pot scrap with the bits of foil has disappeared. We now use the high strength, food contact approved material that forms the moulded inside linings from refrigerators.

Click on the images for a larger look at the plastics. Please note that there is colour variation from batch to batch and also from screen image to sample, but the top image with my finger in is closest to the actual shade. Also samples vary according to where they were cut from the sheet.
